Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson two lawyers. The couple relocated to Oxfordshire when she was five when she enrolled in her first Dragon School. Emma was inspired to be an actor when she was six. In the past she was a student at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. In the school, she was taught singing along with dancing, as well as acting. It was already her turn to perform in a variety of Stagecoach as well as school plays before she reached the age of ten. Casting began in 1999 with the casting process for Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the film adaptation of British writer J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was discovered by agent through her Oxford teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone, and Ron Weasley told Emma after 8 auditions, that she had been selected for the roles. She was cast alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. The release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's first cinematic screen appearance. It broke all records with regards to the opening weekend and revenue, making it one of the top 2001 films. The film received praise from experts, as was the performances of its three stars. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British publication, described Emma's performances "amazing". Emma's performance won her a nomination and received five awards for the movie.
