Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico, was born to the music-loving parents of her family. While growing up, she listened to classical music as well as the traditional Boleros. They also played classic romantic ballads, as well as traditional ranchero. Ana has a passion for tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. Ana began to study singing and play the piano from an early age, along by her mother. The formal training in singing when she reached the age of 16 old and studied with the world-renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. It was at the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. When she was a student, and a young professional, she sang with several chamber groups and opera choruses from Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. In the years following her relocation back to California in United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current place in southern California. The group she is in currently part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer performing traditional Latin American music at private concerts. as a music teacher and musician, she is committed to various community-based projects thanks to her passion as well as a love of music. Ana is also an ex-member of Community Chorus of Redlands as along with an active member of Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to be able to share her love for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to keep the tradition alive.
